Ned Devine’s — or simply “Ned’s” to our locals — has been proudly serving the community since 2001.

Irish-owned and operated by Gordon Masterson, originally from Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland, Ned’s brings a true taste of Ireland to the heart of the U.S. With years of experience in some of the finest bars and hotels in Ireland and Switzerland, Gordon combines authentic Irish hospitality with American comfort and a passion for great food and atmosphere.

The Story Behind the Name

Our name was inspired by the beloved Irish film “Waking Ned Devine.” In the movie, lifelong friends Jackie O’Shea and Michael O’Sullivan discover that someone in their small Irish village has won the lottery. When they find the winner, Ned Devine, has died of shock, the townsfolk come together to convince the inspector that O’Sullivan is really Devine — and share the winnings among them all.

Just like the spirit of that story, Ned’s is all about community, friendship, and good cheer.
